Your Future Challenge

As a summer employee, you will have varied tasks and be part of a team of engaged colleagues. It is important that you are responsible and have a safety mindset in your work as you will be replacing regular staff. In all summer jobs, you are an important part of our goal to satisfy our customers by delivering the right product at the right time safely.

The most common summer job with us is as shift operators for our paper machines or similar roles in our production operations, but we also have daytime positions as maintenance personnel in mechanics and electrical/automation, laboratory technicians, and production planners.

The tasks will vary depending on what you work with, but here are some examples of what our summer employees do:

• As an operator, you will work with cutting paper rolls according to customer orders or controlling the process so that the right quality of pulp reaches the paper machines.
• If you work in maintenance, you will help keep all our equipment in good condition and troubleshoot when something breaks down.
• As a laboratory technician, you will take samples of our products and processes and analyze them to ensure the right quality.
• As a production planner, you will help plan production on the machines so that we can run our machines as efficiently as possible while delivering correctly to the customer.

As you can see, many different categories of summer employees are needed for us to operate our business in the best way.

If you work shifts, you will work continuously in a 3-shift system, which means rotating morning, afternoon, and night shifts. Daytime working hours are usually from 6:30 AM to 3:30 PM.

To Apply for These Positions, You Need to Have:

• A driver's license is required for several of the positions, and it is advantageous if you have forklift and/or crane experience.
• Completed or ongoing high school education.
• Post-secondary education is advantageous, preferably as an engineer, systems technician, process technician, or equivalent with a technical focus in the relevant field. For the summer job as a laboratory technician and production planner, we prefer that you have ongoing or completed university education.
